Space Exploration Day

Today is Space Exploration Day!

This day commemorates two milestones in space exploration: on 20 July 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first person to set foot on the Moon. Seven years later, Viking 1 achieved the first successful landing of a spacecraft on Mars.

To this day, both events symbolise pioneering spirit, innovation and the courage to push boundaries.
